Mr. & Mrs. Yang own a property in Normahurst NSW. Their older son was considering buying a property, but after calculating the costs of purchasing an old house and coming up with a large deposit, it soon became evident that building a granny flat in the rear yard was a much more affordable and achievable option.

The site had a large tree which seemed like an obstacle, but we were able to custom design a unit which was 'L' shaped and built around the tree, taking advantage of the site's greatest orientation.
